Halima Abubakar has threatened to call out "some of your favs and billionaires" who are guilty of rape and are shaming women for speaking up now.

The actress weighed in on the current rape conversation going on after women like Uwa Omozuwa and Barakat Bello were raped and murdered while in places where they should otherwise be safe.

The death of both women and the rape of a 12-year-old girl by 11 men at different times in Jigawa has led other victims to speak up. However, there are those condemning them for speaking up now, long after their tragic experiences.

This angered actress Halima Abubakar and she took to Instagram where she threatened to expose some prominent people who are guilty of rape and are trying to silence women.

Halima said most victims are afraid to come out because these men "hide and intimidate and even block their income". She warned them not to push her to call them out.

She wrote:

DONT SHAME PEOPLE AND YOU QUILTY.BUT HIDE AND INTIMIDATE AND EVEN BLOCK THEIR INCOME.DONT LET ME CALL ,SOME OF YOUR FAVS AND BILLIONAIRES .EVERY ONE IS JUST INCONSIDERATE .FROM THE COMMON MAN TO THE HIGH AND MIGHTY. A 100-level Microbiology student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Uwaila Omozuwa has been confirmed dead after being raped and beaten inside her local church. The 22-year-old student who goes to read everyday at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill, Benin, was attacked with a fire extinguisher by unknown men on Wednesday, May 27. Governor Bello lifts lockdown in Kabba Bunu, insists Kogi is COVID-19 free

The lockdown imposed on Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state over suspected cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), has been lifted by the Kogi state government. Governor Yahaya Bello who made the announcement at the Government House in Lokoja on Friday June 5, said the decision of lifting the lockdown in the local government area was reached after samples which were tested came back negative. The Governor who insisted that Kogi state still remains a COVID-19-free state, urged residents of the state to observe protocols of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to curb the spread of the disease. This is coming days after the NCDC announced that two Coronavirus cases were confirmed in the state. Dino Melaye also confirmed this by revealing that he knows one of the patients.

Massive explosion shakes Lebanon's capital Beirut (videos)

A massive explosion erupted in Lebanon's capital Beirut on Tuesday, August 4. The afternoon blast shook several parts of the capital with Local Red Cross reporting hundreds injured and widespread damage.
