Halima Abubakar has threatened to call out "some of your favs and billionaires" who are guilty of rape and are shaming women for speaking up now.

The actress weighed in on the current rape conversation going on after women like Uwa Omozuwa and Barakat Bello were raped and murdered while in places where they should otherwise be safe.

The death of both women and the rape of a 12-year-old girl by 11 men at different times in Jigawa has led other victims to speak up. However, there are those condemning them for speaking up now, long after their tragic experiences.

This angered actress Halima Abubakar and she took to Instagram where she threatened to expose some prominent people who are guilty of rape and are trying to silence women.

Halima said most victims are afraid to come out because these men "hide and intimidate and even block their income". She warned them not to push her to call them out.

She wrote:

DONT SHAME PEOPLE AND YOU QUILTY.BUT HIDE AND INTIMIDATE AND EVEN BLOCK THEIR INCOME.DONT LET ME CALL ,SOME OF YOUR FAVS AND BILLIONAIRES .EVERY ONE IS JUST INCONSIDERATE .FROM THE COMMON MAN TO THE HIGH AND MIGHTY. A 100-level Microbiology student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Uwaila Omozuwa has been confirmed dead after being raped and beaten inside her local church. Governor Bello lifts lockdown in Kabba Bunu, insists Kogi is COVID-19 free

The lockdown imposed on Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state over suspected cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), has been lifted by the Kogi state government. Governor Yahaya Bello who made the announcement at the Government House in Lokoja on Friday June 5, said the decision of lifting the lockdown in the local government area was reached after samples which were tested came back negative. The Governor who insisted that Kogi state still remains a COVID-19-free state, urged residents of the state to observe protocols of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to curb the spread of the disease. 42 percent of Nigerians lost their jobs due to Coronavirus – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced that its recent survey revealed that 42 percent of Nigerians have lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The Bureau said the study was conducted between April to May 2020, during the time when the index case was identified in the country. It was further gathered that the impact of COVID-19 has been most strongly felt in the commerce, service and agriculture sectors.
